Born in Ecuador, Ariana Mares began her violin studies under private instruction at four years old. Her early interest in music led her to study at the Antonio Neumane Conservatory, where she was the Concertmaster of the Youth Symphony Orchestra at nine years old. She continued her studies in FOSJE, a non-profit Government Organization that followed “El Sistema” principles, ideas, and curriculum; with this Organization, she toured Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Costa Rica as a member of their Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Later on, she worked in the same Institution as a Private Violin teacher, Orchestra Sectional Instructor, and Concertmaster.
In 2018 she culminated her Artist Certificate Diploma under Dr. Russell’s violin studio at Azusa Pacific University.
As an educator, Mrs. Mares has worked as a Violin Teacher for underprivileged students in her native country under Governmental Programs. She has also worked in the Anaheim School District and different Music Schools around Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino County.
Mrs. Mares attended masterclasses with Efrain Lara (Venezuela), Manuel Campos (Venezuela), and Tigran Matesvoyan (Armenia).
