Chamber String Orchestra Summer Camp

Camp schedule

Monday to Friday, June 5-16th 9:00-12:30 PM

Master Class for solo: Saturday, June 10th, 10:00AM-TBD

Final Concert: Saturday, June 17th

Instruments: Violin, viola and cello

Camp Tuition: $550

Age: 3rd grader and older

Level: Suzuki volume 3 and up

Registration deadline: May 6

Seating Audition : Students must submit a video of a solo piece (3min) and two scales (one major and one minor) by May 10

Each student will be assigned to a chamber group, and all of the students will be playing in our string chamber orchestra. Each student will learn one piece for their chamber group and 3-4 pieces for string chamber orchestra.

Master class for solo work: this is an extra class we offer to help students with their solo pieces. This is not a mandatory class. Students may sign up if they want to participate in the class, which will be held on June 10th, Saturday from 10:00-1:00

Guest Artist: Concert Mast of Pacific Symphony Orchestra, Dennis Kim

Assigned Chamber Group: Each student will be assigned to a chamber group. Scores for the chamber music pieces will be sent out by May 20 for students to practice.

Responsibility: After all the groups are assigned, each student will receive music by the second week of May. You must learn all your parts to the music prior to starting the camp. In addition to preparing for the camp, students are also expected to continue to work on these pieces during the camp.
