Vienna Music Institute Chamber Orchestras

2018-2019 Season

Vienna Music Institute (VMI) is pleased to announce its 10th season of the Chamber Orchestra program. Students are placed according to their playing level into either Intermediate Chamber Orchestra or Advanced Chamber Orchestra. Students in both orchestras grow as players and gain confidence and motivation while preparing music to a high standard for concert performance.

New for this year, to enable the highest quality of performance and to build further on the work done in the fall semester, membership in orchestra is a full year commitment. There will be a break during Certificate of Merit season to accommodate many students’ preparation, and rehearsals will resume in March. See Rehearsal Dates & Times below for further details.

In this 10th anniversary season, we are also offering for the first time a Concerto Competition. Further details will be posted soon. Entry in the Concerto Competition is open only to students who are full-year members of their level-appropriate Chamber Orchestra.
